. . . – આ વિષયે કદાચ હું પ્રથમવાર જાહેરમાં કંઇ લખી રહ્યો છું અને હું જે વિચારું છું તે જ લખવાનો પ્રયત્ન છે. – ભગવાન અને તેને માનવાવાળા લોકોના સમુહમાં મારો સમાવેશ હવે નહિવત છે છતાં પણ કયારેક કોઇની લાગણીને ખાતર કોઇ મંદિરમાં કે કોઇ ધાર્મિક સ્થળે આંટો મારી આવતો હોઉ છું. (તે સ્થળ મારી માટે તો કોઇ બગીચા, ફુટપાથ કે અન્ય પ્રવાસ સ્થળ જેવું જ સામાન્ય છે.) – અન્ય સ્થળ કરતાં ત્યાં નવી વસ્તુ એ હોય છે કે તે જગ્યાએ કોઇ મુર્તીને કે તેના નામને સર્વ શક્તિમાન ઇશ્વરના સ્વરૂપે ગોઠવવામાં આવેલા હોય છે, જેની શ્રધ્ધાળુ લોકો બંધ આંખે (કે આંખો બંધ કરીને) પુજા કરતાં હોય છે !!! – ઇશ્વરને પુજનારા ભક્તોની અતુટ શ્રધ્ધા પ્રત્યે કોઇ ફરિયાદ નથી અને આમ પણ ઇશ્વરના અસ્તિત્વ અંગે હવે હું એકદમ સ્પષ્ટ છું. (આજે મારો કોઇ ભગવાન નથી અને કોઇ પ્રાઇવેટ ગુરૂ-બાબામાં શ્રધ્ધા પણ નથી.) – હું તે લોકોની શ્રધ્ધાને વંદન કરું છું, જેમને એક જડ મુર્તીમાં પણ તેમનો તારણહાર દેખાય છે. હું સ્વીકારું છું કે જીવન જીવવા માટે કયારેક શ્રધ્ધા ઘણી મોટી ચીજ બનતી હોય છે. (પણ મને કયારેય એવા કોઇ ઇશ્વરની જરૂર નથી પડી એટલે મેં મારી શ્રધ્ધાને કુદરતના નિયમ સાથે સીધી જોડી દીધી છે.) – ચમત્કાર કયારેય થયા નથી કે થવાના નથી. દરેક વસ્તું કુદરતી રીતે ગોઠવાયેલી છે અને તે તેના પ્રમાણે જ ચાલે છે. તેને બદલવું (ભગવાન માટે પણ) લગભગ અશક્ય છે. (કુદરત માટે જે એક સ્વાભાવિક પ્રક્રિયા છે તેને કોઇ ચમત્કાર કે ઇશ્વરની દેન ગણી શકે છે, પણ તેનાથી કુદરતને કોઇ ફેર પડતો નથી કે પડવાનો પણ નથી.) – રોજે-રોજ કયાંક ને કયાંક ચાલતી કથા-સરઘસ-જાહેરાત ઉપરાંત ઠેર ઠેર બનાવેલા (કે બની રહેલા) મોટા-મોટા, ભવ્યાતિભવ્ય અને ભક્તોની ચાપલુસી (અને અઢળક દાનની કમાણી)થી (અતિ)પ્રખ્યાત મંદિરમાં કે ખોટા-મોટા બાવાઓના આશ્રમોમાં ઠસોઠસ એકઠા થયેલા લોકોને જોઇને કયારેક દુઃખ જેવું થાય. (પણ જો લોકો જ સામેથી લુંટાવા તૈયાર બેઠા હોય તો તેમને લુંટનારાને કેટલીવાર ખોટા કહીશું?) – આજે એક ભવ્ય ઇમારત (કે જેને બનાવવામાં આસ્થાળું લોકોના કરોડો રૂપિયા ખર્ચાયા છે અને જેનાથી લાખો જરૂરિયાતમંદ લોકોની કરોડો સમસ્યા દુર કરી શકાઇ હોત) એવા મંદિરની મુલાકાત વખતે હજારો લોકોની ભીડ વચ્ચે સાવ એકલી ચુપ-ચાપ ઊભેલી મુર્તી જોઇને મારા મનથી નીકળેલાં શબ્દો… . . તારી હાજરીની કોઇ સાબિતી હોય તો જલ્દી આપ ભગવાન… તારા ભક્તોને તું હોવાની ઘણી મોટી જાહેરાતો કરવી પડે છે. . . *કાર્તિકભાઇની નજરે “ભીડ” જોઇને આ પોસ્ટ યાદ આવી ગઇ. લગભગ 7 મહિના પહેલા લખાયેલી આ પોસ્ટને જાહેરમાં મુકી નહોતી. (કદાચ ત્યારે કોઇની લાગણી દુભાશે એવો ડર હશે.)

આ વિધાન ને એક્સેપ્ટ કરવા માં થોડી અસમંજસ છે
- ચમત્કાર કયારેય થયા નથી કે થવાના નથી. દરેક વસ્તું કુદરતી રીતે ગોઠવાયેલી છે અને તે તેના પ્રમાણે જ ચાલે છે. તેને બદલવું (ભગવાન માટે પણ) લગભગ અશક્ય છે. (કુદરત માટે જે એક સ્વાભાવિક પ્રક્રિયા છે તેને કોઇ ચમત્કાર કે ઇશ્વરની દેન ગણી શકે છે, પણ તેનાથી કુદરતને કોઇ ફેર પડતો નથી કે પડવાનો પણ નથી.)

ચમત્કાર જેવું કશું હોતું જ નથી- કેટલીક એવી વસ્તુ હોય છે કે જે આપણા માટે જરૂરી હોય છે, અને એ એવા સમયે થાય છે જયારે આપણે એની આશા રાખી હોતી નથી…. એને ફોર ધેટ મેટર આ વસ્તુ ને ચમત્કાર તરીકે ગણવામાં કોઈ વાંધો પણ નથી…… ચમત્કાર દૈવી અથવા તો કુદરતી હોય છે પણ આ બાબાઓ અને બાઓ કરે છે એ હાથચાલાકી, હિપ્નોટીઝમ અથવા પ્લાસીબો ઈફેક્ટ હોઈ શકે છે

ઈમ્તિયાઝ અલી : મને એમ હતું કે આ માણસ ની આખી જીંદગી હળવીફૂલ ફિલ્મો બનાવવા માં જ જશે, એટલે ડાર્ક ફિલ્મો માણવા માટે એના ભાઈબંધ અનુરાગ કશ્યપ નો જ આશરો લેવો પડશે, પણ ઈમ્તિયાઝ અલી એ ડાર્ક પાર્ટ પણ બખૂબી નિભાવ્યો છે. વાહ ગુરુદેવ  વાહ

રણબીર કપૂર: પૃથ્વી રાજ કપૂર  અને રાજકપૂર ની એક્ટિંગ નો વરસો જાળવવાની તેવડ રાખે છે, માન ગયે મુઘલે આઝમ….

નરગીસ ફખરી: ઉંમર ના નડે તો આ બીજી કેટરીના કૈફ છે, દસકો પૂરો થતા પહેલા એક્ટિંગ શીખી જશે….

શમ્મી કપૂર સાહેબ : એન્ટ્રી જ એટલી સરસ છે કે વાત ના પૂછો, ફિલ્મ ના ડાર્ક ટોન માં હળવાશ લાવવા માં નરગીસ અને શમ્મી સાહેબ નું કામ લાજવાબ છે, ડીકોટોમી ઓફ ફેમ [મારું પોતાનું ટ્રાન્સલેશન : પ્રતિષ્ઠા ના બે ચહેરા] લાજવાબ.

એ.આર.રહમાન, મોહિત ચૌહાણ : લાજવાબ. [બાકી જે કઈ કહેવાનું છે એ રીપીટેશન જ છે એટલે નથી લખ્યું]

આ સિવાય પણ ફિલ્મ ના બીજા અનસંગ રોકસ્ટાર પણ છે જેમકે

ગીટાર ટીમ: જેણે લીધે રોકસ્ટાર ને ઓથેન્ટિક ટચ મળ્યો છે.

અદિતિ રાવ હૈદરી: નાનો પણ લાજવાબ રોલ.

આરતી બજાજ : એના એડીટીંગ ને લીધે પહેલી વાર એવું બન્યું છે કે કોઈ ગીત કટકે કટકે આવતું હોય અને એ પ્રયોગ ગમ્યો હોય: કત્તિયા કરૂ, સદ્દા હક માં વચ્ચે રણબીર ની કોમેન્ટ્રી , ડીકોટોમી ઓફ ફેમ કે પછી પહેલા હાફ માં રણબીર અને નરગીસ ની લવ સ્ટોરી, એક સારી ફિલ્મ ની પાછળ એક સારો/સારી એડિટર ની જરૂર છે એ ફરી એક વાર સાબિત થાય છે…..

પીયુષ મિશ્રા : ઓલમોસ્ટ વેડફાય છે, પૃથ્વી બના જેવો રોલ એને બીજી વાર ક્યારે મળશે એની આતૂરતા થી રાહ જોવાય છે.

જેણે જેણે રોકસ્ટાર નથી ગમ્યું એના માટે એક સલાહ: ડાર્ક વસ્તુ ઓ કપડા ના કલર કે ચોકલેટ પુરતી જ માર્યાદિત ન રાખો, ડાર્ક ફિલ્મો પણ જુઓ, નસીબ જોગે આપણે એવી ટેવ પડી પણ નથી અને પાડવા માં આવી પણ નથી……

યું હોતા તો ક્યા હોતા, આવું થાત તો શું થાત…. દરેક ના મન માં દર વખતે આ વિચાર ટપકી પડે છે, ઓલી ફેમસ જોક પ્રમાણે, મોબાઈલ અને જીવન સાથી પસંદ કાર્ય પછી તો ખરુજ, કે આનાથી સારો માલ મળ્યો હોત તો શું થાત… જોક્સ અપાર્ટ પણ દર વખતે લોકો ના મન માં આવું જ થાય છે. મેં કોમર્સ ને બદલે સાઈન્સ રાખ્યું હોત તો, માસ્ટર ડીગ્રી કરવા ને બદલે જોબ મળી ગઈ હોત તો, બોન્ડ ના પૈસા જતા કરવા ને બદલે એ ને એ જ કંપની માં જ જાળવી રાખ્યું હોત તો… જીંદગી એ ન હોત જે અત્યારે છે.

જરા વિચારો, સુભાષ ઘઈ એ પોતાની મહાબકવાસ યુવરાજ માટે “જય હો” બનાવરાવ્યું હતું, પણ વાર્તા માં કઈ મેળ નો પડ્યો એટલે આ ગીત યુવરાજ માંથી કાઢી નાખ્યું, અને પાછળ થી ડેની બોયલ ને સ્લમડોગ માટે આપી દીધું, જરા વિચારો, સુભાષ ઘઈ એ આ ગીત એની ફિલ્મ માં પરાણે ઘુસાડી દીધું હોત તો?? વિચારો, જે આખી દુનિયા જય હો જય હો ગાય છે એ ગાત? આ સામાન્ય ગીત યુવરાજ જેવી ફિલ્મ માં ક્યાય ખોવાઈ ગયું હોત, અને સ્લમડોગ ના બીજા નંબર્સ ના વખાણ થયા હોત….. પણ સહુથી મોટી વાત, શું એ આર રહમાન ને ઓસ્કાર મળ્યો હોત? અને ના જ મળ્યો હોત તો અત્યારે એની લાઈફ કેવી હોત? ઓસ્કાર ને લીધે સર્જાયેલી વ્યસ્તતા ના હોવાને લીધે એણે આસુતોષ ગોવારીકર ની “વોટ્સ યોર રાશી” પણ કરી હોત અને આપણને સુહેલ સેન નો ય પરિચય ના થાત….. કેટ કેટલી કલ્પના ના ઘોડા ડર્બી રેસ માં ભાગતા હોય એ હદે દોડે છે.

આ જ વસ્તુ નું નામ છે ઓલ્ટર્નેટીવ કે ઓલ્ટરનેટ હિસ્ટ્રી, જે નથી થયું એ થઇ ગયું હોત તો આપણી જીંદગી કેવી હોત એની કલ્પના અને એના આધારે ચણાયેલા મિનારા ને માણવાની મજા.

ઈતિહાસ એક એવી વસ્તુ છે જેમાં જે થયું છે એની વાસ્તવિકતા કરતા જે નથી થયું એની કલ્પના વધારે રોમાંચક છે, જોકે આપણે અહિયાં ઈતિહાસ ટેક્સ્ટ બૂક અને કેટલાક ઈતિહાસકારો ની જડ્બુદ્ધી માં જ સમાઈ ગયો છે, એટલે આપડે હિસ્ટરી તો ઠીક ઓલ્ટર્નેટીવ હિસ્ટ્રી માં પણ કોઈ રસ કે વાટકો નથી. પણ પશ્ચિમ માં ઓલ્ટર્નેટ હિસ્ટ્રી, સિક્રેટ હિસ્ટરી બહુ ચગ્યા છે. તો ચાલો જાણી લઈએ ઓલ્ટર્નેટ હિસ્ટ્રી એટલે શું?

પહેલા તો આ શબ્દ નું ડીસેક્શન કરીએ તો એ શબ્દ ના બે ભાગ છે, ઓલ્ટર્નેટ અને હિસ્ટ્રી, ઓલ્ટર્નેટ એટલે બદલાઈ ગયેલું અને હિસ્ટ્રી એટલે ઈતિહાસ, એટલે ઈતિહાસ માં જે થયું હતું એ ના થયું હોત, ટાળી શકાયું હોત અથવા તો જે નથી થઇ શક્યું એ થયું હોત તો? જેમ કે, હિટલર નો જન્મ જ ન થયો હોત તો[જેના પર સ્ટીફન ફ્રાઈ એ "મેકિંગ હિસ્ટ્રી" લખી છે] ? કે વાસ્કો દ ગામા પોર્ટુગલ પાછો જ ના ગયો હોત તો [જેના પર પ્રભુદેવા,જેનેલિયા ડી'સુઝા ની સાઉથ ઇન્ડિયન "ઉરુમી" આવી છે]? અને પછી આ સવાલો ના જવાબ શોધવાની મથામણ અને એનાથી બનતી રચના એટલે ઓલ્ટર્નેટ હિસ્ટ્રી.

અને સિક્રેટ હિસ્ટ્રી એટલે એવી સત્ય કથા કે ફિક્શન જે એવી હિસ્ટ્રી પર પ્રકાશ ફેકવાની ટ્રાઈ કરે છે જે થયું છે [હોઈ શકે છે] પણ સામાન્ય જનતા ને ખબર નથી. જેમકે ઇસુ અને મેરી મેગ્ડેલીન નો સંબંધ, ડેન બ્રાઉન, નીકોસ કાઝંત્ઝાકીસ જેવા લેખકો ની “દા વિન્ચી કોડ” કે “લાસ્ટ ટેમ્પટેશન” જેવી રચના ઓ સિક્રેટ હિસ્ટ્રી માં આવે, ઉપર વાત કરી એ ફિલ્મ ઉરુમી પણ સિક્રેટ હિસ્ટ્રી છે જેમાં વાસ્કો દ ગામા ની હત્યા નો પ્લાન ફેઈલ જાય છે. અને મારી જેવા ઘણા લોકો છે જે સિક્રેટ હિસ્ટ્રી અને ઓલ્ટર્નેટ હિસ્ટ્રી ને સરખી ગણે છે. કેમકે બંને માં ઘણું સામ્ય છે, એક તો એ બંને કલ્પના જ લાગે છે, બંને ઈતિહાસ ના કોઈ એક પોઈન્ટ થી ફંટાય છે, પણ ઉડી ને આંખે વળગે એવો ફરક છે ટ્રુથ અને ફિક્શન વચ્ચે નો… સિક્રેટ હિસ્ટ્રી માં ટ્રુથ હોય કે ફિક્શન હંમેશા ટ્રુથ ની ખુબ નજીક રાખવી પડે છે. જયારે ઓલ્ટર્નેટ હિસ્ટ્રી માં તમે કલ્પના ના ઘોડા છુટ્ટા મૂકી શકો છો.

જેમકે, માની લ્યો કે હિટલર ને મારવા એક જાસૂસ મોકલ્યો છે, આ ઉપર થી એક સિક્રેટ હિસ્ટ્રી લખવી છે અને એક ઓલ્ટર્નેટીવ હિસ્ટ્રી પણ લખવી છે. હવે જો સિક્રેટ હિસ્ટ્રી રાખવી હોય તો એ જાસૂસ ને એક નામ આપવું પડે, એને યોગ્ય રીતે જર્મની પાર્સલ કરવો પડે, હિટલર ની નજીક લાવવો પડે અને પછી એક પરફેક્ટ એસેસિનેશન[હત્યા] નો પ્લાન બનાવરાવવો પડે, અને પછી આખી વાત ને મૂળ હિસ્ટ્રી ની સાથે જોડવા આ જ પ્લાન ને ફેઈલ પણ કરવો પડે. પણ જો ઓલ્ટર્નેટીવ હિસ્ટ્રી રાખવી હોય તો એ જાસૂસ તરીકે આપડો જેમ્સ બોન્ડ પણ હાલે, એકાદ જર્મન સુંદરી [મોટે ભાગે એક એક્ટ્રેસ રાખી દઈએ] ની મદદ થી હિટલર સુધી પહોચાડી દેવાનો, બે ત્રણ તોડ ફોડ અને એમાં હિટલર ની હત્યા.

ઓલ્ટર્નેટ હિસ્ટ્રી ના ઘણા બધા ઉદાહરણો પશ્ચિમ માંથી મળે છે. જેમકે હમણાં જ શરુ કરેલી ગેમ ફ્રીડમ ફાઈટર્સ જેનો કન્સેપ્ટ જ એ છે કે શિતયુદ્ધ માં રશિયા નો હાથ ઉપર રહે છે અને અમેરિકા સામ્યવાદી બની જાય છે, આપણે એમાં ફ્રીડમ ફાઈટર્સ બની ને અમેરિકા ને સામ્યવાદી ઓ ના હાથ માંથી છોડાવવાનું છે. [આડ વાત: ગેમ નું મ્યુઝીક પણ જબરદસ્ત છે, કોઈ ની પાસે હોય તો લિંક આપવા વિનંતી]. ક્વેનટીન ટારાન્ટીનો [ગાળ નથી નામ છે] ની લેટેસ્ટ “ઇન્ગ્લોરીયસ બાસ્ટર્ડસ” જેમાં અમેરિકન યહૂદી સૈનિકો હિટલર, ગોબેલ્સ, રોમેલ અને હિમ્લર [નાઝી પાર્ટી ના મોટા માથા] ને પતાવી દે છે. પશ્ચિમ માં જ લોકપ્રિય થયેલી સીરીઝ “ડોક્ટર વ્હૂ” ના થોડા ઘણા એપિસોડ માં ઓલ્ટર્નેટ હિસ્ટ્રી આવે છે, જેમાં એક માં અગાથા ક્રિસ્ટી ૧૧ દિવસ માટે ગાયબ થઇ ગઈ હતી એ દિવસો એણે ડોક્ટર વ્હૂ ની સાથે ગાળેલા એવું દેખાડે છે.[સોર્સ વિકિપીડિયા]. આવા તો ઘણા સોર્સ છે જે તમે વિકિપીડિયા ના ઓલ્ટર્નેટ હિસ્ટ્રી ના પેજ પર થી જોઈ શકો છો.

વિચારો, જો આવી ઓલ્ટર્નેટ હિસ્ટ્રી ભારત માં થઇ હોત તો? વિભીષણ રામ ને મળ્યા જ ન હોત તો? પાંડુ ને માદ્રી પર કામાવેગ ઉત્પન્ન ના થયો હોત તો? કંસે પ્રથમ બાળક ના જન્મ પછી વાસુદેવ ને દેવકી ને અલગ કરી દીધા હોત તો? જલિયાવાલા બાગ ની ઘટના પછી અંગ્રેજો એ દેશ છોડી દીધો હોત તો? ખલાસી ઓ નો બળવો ન થયો હોત તો? ઇન્દિરા ગાંધી અચાનક અજ્ઞાતવાસ માં રહ્યા હોત અને અત્યારે બહાર આવત તો? અને મારી મનગમતી કલ્પના દિવ્યા ભારતી એ આપઘાત ના કર્યો હોત તો? વિચારો વિચારો….. તમેય વિચારો….. હું તમને મારા મગજ માં દોડાવેલા તુક્કા ઓ ફરી ક્યારેક કહીશ.. ત્યાં સુધી હેવ અ હેપ્પી વિક એન્ડ…….

Star Wars There are two parts of star wars saga,

the original trilogy: which tells the story of Luke Skywalker and his fight against empire and it’s evil villain Darth Vader, And his adventures with his friend Han Solo and His twin sister princess leia organa. This triology spans star wars 4-5 and 6 which is released between 1977 and 1983. Here is the synopsis of original trilogy edited from wikipedia

In Star wars 4: Princess Leia is kidnapped by Darth Vader, but before being kidnapped she records a message meant to be delivered to Obi-Wan Kenobi in a droid called r2d2 and with a robot c3po she sends them to a nearby planet Tatooine, Luke acquires them and evetually delivers the message to obi-wan kenobi, who is a jedi knight. Kenobi trains Luke and reveals that he also trained his father anakin who killed by wader, they hire a pirate han solo and with help of rebel alliance they attack on death star made by wader, Luke and Solo can escape with leia and kenobi is killed in a duel with vader

In Star Wars 5: Luke finds master yoda, an old and most wise Jedi Master and continues his training. Meanwhile to trap Luke ,Vader again kidnaps and freezes Han and others, while in a duel Vader reveals that he was Lukes father and he wants Luke to join the dark side

In Star Wars 6: Luke returns to yoda who’s dying. Yoda reveals that Vader is his father and later a spirit of Obi-Wan Kenobi reveals the same thing with additional info that Leia is his twin sister. Kenobi also says that he must face his father to become a Jedi. There is a duel again between Luke and Anakin, with emperor Palpatine watching them, in the duel Luke declares his alliance with Jedis and refuses to join his father. Palpatine attempts to kill luke but saved by Vader. Vader than kills Palpatine in duel and because of his wounds Vader dies in Luke’s arms.

This makes end of sequel trilogy and 16 years later in 1999 Lucas started Prequel Trilogy :telling the back story of Anakin Skywalker (Vader).

in Star Wars 1: It says the story of Anakin skywalker as a child. Young Obi Wan Kenobi and his Master Qui-Gon Jinn discover him during an escape and also discovers his geniusness. This story also tells birth of the robots c3po and r2d2, both Jinn and Kenobi brings anakin to master yoda, believing that according to a prophecy he can bring balance to FORCE. Master Yoda senses his future is clouded by fears. In a duel Qui-Gon Jinn is killed by Darth Maul and Yoda allows Kenobi to train anakin

In Star Wars 2 and 3: We see anakin is falling into dark side, here we are introduced to sith lord Palpatine who was senator. Anakin falls in love with Princes Padme Amidala and eventually marries him, meanwhile Palpatine is secretly brainwashing Anakin to fall into the dark side. Anakin sees in a dream that Amidala is dying while giving birth to his children. Palpatine tells anakin that she can be saved if he surrenders himself to dark side. Palpatine declares himself an emperor and Anakin-now darth wader-start to kill everyone from Jedi order. In a duel with Kenobi, vader is defeated and put to death beside a lava flow. However, Palpatine arrives shortly afterward and saves Vader, putting him into a black, mechanical suit of armor that keeps him alive. At the same time, Padmé dies while giving birth to twins Luke and Leia. The twins are hidden from Vader and are not told who their real parents are.

And Star Wars 4, starts exactly 19 years after the event of Star Wars 3……

- Rowling wrote epilogue of Harry Potter taking place 19 years after the events of deathly hallows

- In Original Trilogy and In Potter series, both the protagonists have Two friends who are in love with each other In star wars Han Solo and Princess Leia and in Harry Potter Ron and Hermione… Bondage between friends is more emphasised in potter while in star wars it was merely a sub plot

- In Prequel Trilogy and Harry Potter the protagonist is linked with a prophecy. In star wars there was a prophecy that someone will bring balance into force, and Qui-Gon Jinn and Kenobi believes this prophecy is about Anakin. In harry potter There was a prophecy that a half blood boy born in seventh month will kill the dark lord.And Voldemort believes this was about Harry.

- In Both Star wars and Potter Sith Lords can be compared to Death eaters and Jedis Can be compared to Order Of Phoenix how ever power and number of people are different. Order Of Phoenix was not in ultimate power anytime but Jedis guided the galatic republic. Leaving Star wars expanded universe, there are only two known sith lords(Plapatine and Vader) while there are many death eaters.

- In both SW (Star Wars) and HP(Harry Potter) the main group is guided by en elderly respectable man who died before the events of the series complete In SW Jedi Order is guided by Master Yoda (more than 800 years old, died in start of SW 6) in HP Hogwarts is guided by Albus Dumbledore(more than 150 years old, died in end of HP6)

- Composer John Williams was part of both the film series. He scored music for all star wars movies, for harry potter series. The starting music in all movies was composed by him, moreover he composed score for first three potter movies. He’s regular music composer for Steven Spielberg and George Lukas.
[Trivia: For Harry Potter Spielberg was first choice as a director, he insisted potter to be a live action series and wanted Haley Joel Osment (Sixth sense and AI fame child) to play potter but warner bros. didn't like this idea.. and rest is history]

- In both SW and HP the main antagonist is believed to be died but returns in another form. In star wars vader is left to death by Kenobi but he is saved by Palpatine,this fact is known to very few . In HP Voldemort lost his powers and living in snakes’ body in jungles of albania after the first wizarding war. Wader was kept into mechanic suit and Voldemort’s face changed from human to a snake like face.

-Instead of popularity of both series Ignoring pressure of fans both the creators (George Lucas and J.K.Rowling) decided to end the series. In interviews Lucas says that what I have decided to tell is all in six movies. Same is in J.K.Rowling’s case. Though Star Wars has an expanded universe which contains lot of novels and fan movies related to the official cannon, Lucas licenses them and earns money from Star Wars EU. In Potter what we heard is pottermore.com which will be public in august, but there are no news of Harry Potter Expanded Universe.

Last But Not the list
Releasing a certain movie in both series was a lifelong memorable event of the fans. 

In star wars case it was release of Star Wars 1: the Phantom Menace in 19th May 1999. All the fans who enjoyed star wars 6: the return of Jedi in their childhood or adolescence are grown up and excited to see the revival of the franchise after 16 years. To start that journey again.

In potter this date was 15th July 2011 where the fans of Harry Potter were prepared to say good bye to this cinematic journey. With a bitter-sweet memory….

Similarities I found can merely a co-incidence or somehow J.K.Rowling may be influenced by Star Wars…. In any case nothing is wrong….. And my love and devotion to both the series is not effected at all..

When your biggest fear chases you. Your throne and castles will be blown away within a minute.

Suddenly you realize that you have lost everything… Your past wasn’t with you and with your limited power in present you are sure you have already lost your future.

If you are coward, you wil cry and surrender to this fear. Suppose you are not coward but you are not prepared for it, you just make your way to your hideout. Regardless of how safe it is the mighty fear will chase you. Hit you and wil ask for a duel…. You have to pay something from your priceless treasure to shut it up. In future when you need it, you have to fight with him hard, but the bigger problem is…. facing it.

Everybody has a biggest fear. Even I have it, once surrenderd and once successfully ran away to hideout with scars on me. Probably it’s time to have a meeting with it. And this time I don’t have any option other than fight with it. I came back to regain that precious thing.

And here I have a strategy, to know about it and if possible, make friends with it because….

Friends are there to remove our fears, not to create them…

ધોધમાર પીંછાનો પડતો વરસાદ, ગામ આખું તણાઈ જતું વેણનું.
છાતીની ઘુમરીમાં ઘૂમી ઘૂમીને ક્યાંક,
ખોવાતી જાત મને યાદ છે, ખોવાતી જાત તને યાદ છે?

સૂરજ વિનાના અને છાંયડા વિનાના ધોમ તડકા સૂસવાટે હવે રાતના;

મારું વાંચવાનું શરુ થયું લગભગ ૭ માં ધોરણ થી. ભાવનગર થીઓસોફીકલ લોજ, ગૂગલ બુક્સ અને ક્રોસ વર્ડ ની મદદ થી ઘણું વાંચવાનો લાભ પ્રાપ્ત થયો છે. મનોજ ખંડેરિયા થી લઇ ને જોન કીટ્સ કે હરકિસન મેહતા થી લઇ ને ગબ્રીઅલ ગાર્સિયા માર્કેઝ અને ધ્રુવ ભટ્ટ થી લઇ ને પાઉલો કોએલ્હો ને વાચ્યા ના દાવા છાતી ઠોકી ને કરી શકાય એવી હાલત નથી પણ હા…. એટલું જરૂર કહી શકું છું અને એ પણ છાતી ઠોકી ને કે આ બધા ની ઉંચાઈ થી હું વાકેફ છું અને જેવો અને જેટલો અનુભવ છે એ તો એટલું જ કહે છે કે કમ સે કમ જેટલા ગુજરાતી સાહિત્યકારો ને અહિયાં મુક્યા છે એ એમના પશ્ચિમી સાથીદારો થી જરાય ઉતરતી કક્ષા ના નથી….. પણ આંખે ઉડી ને અને રસ્તા માં હૃદય ને વાગી ને દેખાતો અને અનુભવતો ફરક છે આમને મળેલી ઓડીયન્સ નો…. અને એમાં આપણા સાહિત્યકારો દેશ ના બીજા રાજ્યો ની સ્પર્ધા માં ક્યાય નથી……..

નજર ક્યાય આઘે કરવાની જરૂર નથી…. શરદ જોશી ને જ લઇ લો…. લાપતાગંજ કે અતિથી તુમ કબ જાઓગે જેવી રીશીકેશ મુખર્જી છાપ શુદ્ધ પારિવારિક કોમેડી ના સર્જક હોય કે મયખાના ના શરાબ કરતા ય વેધક અને જલદ એવી મધુશાલા ના કવિ હરિવંશરાય બચ્ચન કે પછી લીરીક્સ ના નામે કવિતા પીરસતા ગુલઝાર. બધા ને એમની પ્રજા એ યથા શક્તિ ઊંચક્યા છે… માથે બેસાડ્યા છે અને ક્યારેક ક્યારેક પૂજ્યા પણ છે……

અને આપણે લગભગ એક સૈકા પહેલા લખાયેલી પંક્તિ “શું શા પૈસા ચાર” ને હજી વળગી રહેવા માં માનતા હોઈએ એવું લાગે છે….. [મને આ આખી કવિતા યાદ નથી કદાચ કોઈ ને યાદ હોય તો કમેન્ટ તરીકે પોસ્ટ કરવા વિનંતી], અને જે રીતે સેલ્ફ હેલ્પ, કૂકરી, ધાર્મિક અને સ્વાસ્થ્ય સંબંધી પુસ્તકો ગુજરાત ના પુસ્તક મેળા ઓ માં ઠાલવતા રહેશે તો આ ચાર પૈસા પણ ગુજરાતી ભાષા અને સાહિત્ય માટે overprised  ગણાશે.

પણ રાખે એવું માનતા કે હું અહિયાં ગુજરાતી ભાષા ના ભવિષ્ય વિષે કકળાટ કરવા બેઠો છું……. જેટલો કરવો હતો એટલો થઇ ગયો અને રાતે ચાર વાગે વધારે કકળાટ કરવાની તાકાત પણ નથી….. ઉલટા નો હું થોડો ઘણો આશાસ્પદ છું ગુજરાતી ભાષા ના ભવિષ્ય વિષે…. ખાસ કરી ને કેટલીક નવલકથા ઓ વાચી ને…… કેટલાક ગઝલ પ્રેમી મિત્રો પાસે થી ગઝલ ના ડોઝ તો નિયમિત લેતો રહું છું. અને ગઝલો અને કવિતા ઓ માં ભૂત અને વર્તમાન ભવિષ્ય ને ઘડવા માટે ઘણા સજ્જ દેખાઈ આવે છે….. અને અહિયાં હું તમારી સાથે મારા ગુજરાતી વાંચન ને શેર કરવા માગું છું….

કહે તે સ્વીકારું શરત માત્ર એકજ, મને મારી ક્ષણ દે પરત માત્ર એકજ…… સ્વ. મનોજ ખંડેરિયા ની આ ગઝલ પેહલી વાર વાચતા ની સાથેજ શરીર ની રોમે રોમ માં સમાઈ ગઈ હતી…. અને પછી, હાથ માં કારોબાર રાખ્યો તે, મને બારોબાર રાખ્યો તે….. તળેટી જતાં એવું લાગ્યા કરે છે, હજી ક્યાંક કરતાલ વાગ્યા કરે છે, [સાભાર: http://www.manojkhanderia.com/?p=264] …. કવિ હૃદય ના માણસ ને trans  માં નાખી દેવા માટે આ છેલ્લી ગઝલ કાફી છે.  ગઝલ ના અંતે શબ્દ અને “ક્યાય પણ ગયો નથી” માં મૃત્યુ ને લક્ષ માં રાખી ને ગઝલ [મારા કેસ માં કવિતા] પૂરી કરવાની એમની સ્ટાઈલ ખાનગી ખૂણે મેં બિન્દાસ કોપી કરી છે…. [જાહેરાત: ગઝલો અને કવિતા વાંચવાનું બહુ ઓછું રહ્યું છે... મરીઝ ને વાંચેલા છે પણ એની કોઈ ગઝલ યાદ નથી, અને અત્યારે વિપિન પરીખ, કે જેને વાચી ને મેં મારી કવિતા ઓ ને કાયમી અછાંદસ બનાવી છે એનું સર્જન પણ બહુ યાદ નથી.. ]

કવિતા જેવા [વણખેડાયેલા] મહાસાગર વિષે મારી ચણીબોર જેવી કોમેન્ટ્રી અહિયાં પૂરી થાય છે અને હવે એક પ્રયાસ ગુજરાતી નવલકથા ઓ ની વિષે જ્ઞાન ઊલ્ટી કરવાનો.

૧૮૭૫ ના બળવા પછી ના ૩૦ વરસ ના સમયગાળા ને લક્ષ માં રાખી ને લખાયેલી બે નવલકથા ઓ, રમણલાલ દેસાઈ ની “ભરેલો અગ્નિ” અને પર્સનલ ફેવરીટ અશ્વિની ભટ્ટ ની “ઓથાર”. [પુરા ભારત માં આ વિષય ને લક્ષ માં રાખી ને કોઈ ફિક્શન લખાણું હોવાનું ખ્યાલ માં નથી]. અશ્વિની ભટ્ટ ની જ “અંગાર” કે “કટિબંધ”, હરકિસન મેહતા ની પેરાસાઈકોલોજીકલ થ્રીલર “જડ ચેતન” કે ભ્રષ્ટાચાર સામે લડતા સાધુ ની “અંત આરંભ”. અને મારી વિશ લીસ્ટ માં સહુથી ઉપર “અમર અલી ઠગ ના પીળા રૂમાલ ની ગાંઠ”. આમાંની કોઈ પણ એક નવલકથા નું ફિલ્મ રૂપાંતરણ ગોવિંદભાઈ પટેલ ને નેશનલ એવોર્ડ અપાવી શકે છે…..

ગુજરાત ની પ્રજા ની સાહસ ગાથા ને શબ્દ દેહ આપનારા બે સાહિત્યકારો, એક ઝવેરચંદ મેઘાણી અને બીજા ગુણવંતરાય આચાર્ય. એકે કસુંબો પીધો અને બીજા એ દરિયો ખુંદયો. ઝવેરચંદ મેઘાણી ને વાંચવાનું બહુ ઓછું  બન્યું છે. પણ આચાર્ય સાહેબ ની નવલકથાઓ ખરેખર ગમી છે… titanic  ને ભુલાવી દે એવી વીજળી ની દુર્ઘટના અને દરિયા ને જીતવાનું સપનું જોનારો હાજી, જંગબાર ની જેરામ શિવજી ની પેઢી, લાધાભા ઠાકોર, લાલિયો ઘંટ, મંગલ પારેખ [મંગો પાર્ક નામનો ગોરો પ્રવાસી], અનંત ચાવડો……. આ બધા પાત્રો અને એને સમાવતી નવલકથાઓ પાઈરેટ્સ ઓફ કેરેબિયન શ્રેણી ને ક્યાય ફેકી દે એવી છે……

અને અંત કરીશ ધ્રુવ ભટ્ટ થી…… ડીઝની વાળા એ જયારે ભારત માં પોતાની પ્રથમ ફિલ્મ તરીકે રોડ સાઈડ રોમિયો જેવો બકવાસ હથોડો પસંદ કર્યો ત્યારે એક અફસોસ રહી ગયો કે આના બદલે ધ્રુવ ભટ્ટ ની અતરાપી ને પસંદ કરી હોત તો આ નવલકથા ને ખરેખર ન્યાય મળ્યો કહેવાય. માત્ર અતરાપી જ નહિ. પાઉલો કોએલ્હો ની બેસ્ટ સેલર અલ્કેમિસ્ટ ને ય મોળી પડે એવી પર્સનલ ફેવરીટ સમુદ્રાન્તિકે… તત્વમસી… આ બધી નવલકથાઓ અઘરા માં અઘરું આધ્યાત્મ શીરા ની જેમ ગળે ઉતારે છે, અને એ પણ વાચવા અને વાગોળવા ગમે એવી વાર્તા ઓ રૂપે…….

બસ, હવે આંગળી ઓ ને આરામ આપું છું….. અહી સુધી વાચવા બદલ અને મારા વિચારો ને સહન કરવા બદલ hearty thanks.

અંત માં

 આ ફક્ત એ કૃતિ ઓ છે જે મેં વાચી છે અને વાચી હોવાનું યાદ છે. તમારી પાસે પણ આવી કૃતિ ઓ ની માહિતી હશે જે ગુજરાતી ને સાહિત્ય ને ગૌરવ અપાવી શકે….. તો તમે આવી કૃતિ ઓ ને કમેન્ટ માં લખી શકો  છો

Today there was a speech by Jay Vasavada in baroda at vanijya bhavan. Just 10 mins walking distance from my office. So when Jaybhai tweeted about the venue I made my mind to go for a lecture. And inspite of being there on Indian Standard Time (20 mins late). I missed nothing. Jaybhai’s speech was not started yet. In his speech there was a word that meant ‘memory of gone’ = સ્મ્રીતીશેષ . (Off the topic: મને મારી English માં blog લખવાની જીદ ક્યાંક ભારે નો પડે તો સારું.. હું ગુજરાતી ભૂલતો જાઉં છું @ 12 38 midnight..  અત્યારે Almost at 3 am જય વસાવડા એ મને આ શબ્દ યાદ અપાવ્યો, સ્મ્રીતીશેશ ). That inspired me to write an instance post dedicated to this word.

Once again let me ask you the question.
Do you know what does ‘toy story 3’ and ‘Inception’ have in common?
And the answer from my side is : Deep down in memory lane.

Let me make it bit simpler. Both the movies handle characters’ memory as the essential part of the story. One is going on a darker, maniac and hopeless route (The Inception), while other is dealing with some happy memory (Toy Story 3).

Last note: I have used memories of gone and smriti shesh as almost same words as per my understanding, so i apologize if i have done anything wrong by using slightly different words as same.
